As more people earn degrees over the Internet, employers are forced to consider candidates with online credentials. According to a survey by career network Vault.com, 61 percent of employers find online degrees acceptable, but not as credible as traditional degrees. Vault.com surveyed 239 employers of all sizes about their practices and attitudes toward online degrees. Despite the novelty of Internet degrees, 26 percent of employers find online bachelor's degrees as credible as offline ones. Still, 13 percent say online degrees are completely unacceptable. Interestingly, employers seem more tolerant of online graduate degrees, with 37 percent saying they're as credible as traditional graduate degrees.
